Welcome to CHARCOAL ART AF. By accessing our website, purchasing artwork, or subscribing to Mail From the Hills, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Please review these terms before placing an order.
1. About Our Artwork
CHARCOAL ART AF offers original charcoal artwork, signed and numbered limited-edition fine art prints, and collectible art packages through our Mail From the Hills subscription.
Original artwork is one of a kind. Limited-edition prints are offered in specified sizes, with each size limited to 100 numbered prints unless otherwise stated on the product page.
Artwork colors, tones, textures, and proportions may appear slightly different in person due to display settings, printing processes, and the handmade nature of original art.
2. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in U.S. dollars.
Payment is required at checkout. Applicable sales taxes are added where required.
Shipping is included in the listed price for eligible orders shipped within the United States.
Payments and recurring subscription charges are processed securely through Stripe. CHARCOAL ART AF does not store complete payment card numbers.
We reserve the right to correct pricing or listing errors and to cancel an affected order with a refund if necessary.
3. Limited-Edition Prints
Each limited-edition print is assigned an edition number and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Edition numbers are allocated according to our inventory and fulfillment records. Purchasing a print does not guarantee a particular edition number unless a specific-number option is expressly offered and confirmed.
Prints are signed and numbered by the artist. Editions are limited by size and are not expanded after reaching their stated quantity.
Each qualifying signed limited-edition print purchase also includes one corresponding Mail From the Hills collectible package at no additional charge. This benefit does not enroll the buyer in a recurring subscription.
4. Shipping and Fulfillment
We currently ship to addresses within the United States only.
Signed fine art prints are produced and prepared for shipment after purchase. Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks for print production and preparation.
Original artwork requires specialized packaging and shipping arrangements. Delivery details may vary according to the size and value of the artwork.
Mail From the Hills packages follow a monthly mailing schedule. Mailing begins on the first of the applicable mailing month, with packages dispatched according to the production and fulfillment schedule.
Shipping dates are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Carrier delays, weather, holidays, and other circumstances beyond our control may affect delivery.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Please contact us promptly if an address needs correction before shipment.
5. Returns, Refunds, and Damaged Shipments
All artwork, limited-edition prints, and collectible package sales are final, except where an item arrives damaged, is lost in transit or is missing from the shipment.
Due to the limited and collectable nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges for changes of mind, personal preference, or ordering the wrong item.
If an order arrives damaged, please contact hello@charcoalartaf.com within 7 days of delivery. Include your order information, a description of the problem, and clear photographs of the damaged artwork and packaging.
For items that are missing or appear lost in transit, contact us with your order information as soon as the issue becomes apparent.
We will review each report and determine an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, refund, or another resolution.
When a limited-edition print is replaced, the replacement retains the original edition number and is documented as a replacement rather than a newly issued edition.
Original artworks are one of a kind and cannot be reproduced as original replacements. Any remedy for a damaged or lost original will be handled individually.
Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
6. Mail From the Hills Subscription
Mail From the Hills is a recurring monthly art subscription priced at $9.99 per month, with U.S. shipping included. Applicable sales tax may be added.
Each monthly package includes a collectible reproduction of the featured artwork, approximately 4 × 6 inches, an artist letter, a numbered certificate of authenticity, and selected collectible details or extras.
Automatic renewal: Your subscription renews automatically on the first day of each month unless you cancel before the next renewal. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method on the recurring billing schedule.
Mailing schedule: To receive a particular month's mailing, you must subscribe by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the first day of the preceding month, according to the published subscription schedule.
For example, a subscription started by December 1 qualifies for the January mailing. Your first payment is collected when you subscribe, and later renewal payments follow the monthly billing schedule. Each successful subscription payment funds one corresponding monthly package; it does not purchase duplicate packages for the same mailing.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription to prevent future renewals by emailing hello@charcoalartaf.com from the email address associated with your subscription. Cancellation requests are processed manually, so please send your request at least two business days before the next renewal on the first of the month; requests received later may not be processed before that renewal is charged. Cancellation does not revoke a collectible package already paid for, which will still be fulfilled according to the applicable mailing schedule.
Pausing: We do not pause subscriptions, but you may cancel and rejoin at any time. Previously paid packages remain owed and will be mailed according to schedule.
Subscription refunds: Subscription payments are generally nonrefundable once successfully processed, except for qualifying fulfillment problems or where required by law.
Payment failures: If a recurring payment fails, the corresponding unpaid package is not guaranteed until payment is successfully recovered. A recovered payment may result in a later supplemental mailing.
7. Subscriber Benefits
Active, paid Mail From the Hills subscribers receive a 10% discount on eligible signed limited-edition prints.
The discount does not apply to original artwork, subscription fees, past collectible packages, or other excluded products.
Subscriber discounts cannot be exchanged for cash and may not be combined with other offers unless expressly stated.
8. Past Packages and Additional Collectibles
Previously released Mail From the Hills packages and available extra packages may be offered for individual purchase at $14.99 each, while supplies last.
These are one-time purchases and do not create a recurring subscription.
Availability is limited to existing inventory, and previously sold-out packages are not guaranteed to return.
9. Copyright and Permitted Use
All artwork, images, writing, designs, and other original content displayed on this website remain the intellectual property of CHARCOAL ART AF and/or Amanda F., unless otherwise indicated.
Purchasing an original artwork, print, or collectible does not transfer copyright, licensing or grant permission to reproduce, commercially distribute, modify for resale, or otherwise exploit the artwork.
When purchasing a commissioned artwork copyright, licensing or grant permission to reproduce, commercially distribute, modify for resale may be negotiated in the commissioned work's price and is on a case by case basis.
Personal display and ordinary sharing of purchased artwork are permitted, provided such use does not misrepresent ownership or authorship.
Written permission is required for commercial reproduction or licensing.
10. Website Use
You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use automated methods to exploit purchasing limits, edition inventory, or subscription systems.
We may restrict access, cancel fraudulent transactions, or take other reasonable action to protect customers and the integrity of limited editions.
11. Availability and Changes
Products, releases, and subscriptions are subject to availability.
We may update product offerings, future subscription pricing, packaging contents, and these Terms of Service. Material subscription changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
Changes to future subscription terms will not retroactively alter purchases already completed.
12. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the State of Nevada, United States, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
13. Accessibility
CHARCOAL ART AF believes art should be accessible and that everyone deserves a welcoming, inclusive online shopping experience.
We are committed to improving the accessibility and usability of our website for visitors of all abilities. We aim to follow recognized accessibility best practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as we develop and maintain our website.
We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process and that some features or content may not work equally well with every device, browser, or assistive technology.
